Coriander Powder

                                               How to make Coriander powder?

Hi friends!!!!
It's long time since I had published a post. Quite busy with other things like rains, festivals and last but not the least household maintenance. So, to compensate i am going to write as many posts as i can from today. Ok!!! let's start with the recipe for a simple coriander powder which is an important spice powder in various coutries cooking including India.

              Method 1:

               Ingredients:

              1.  Green Coriander seeds    -  1 cup

                Procedure:

              1.  Place the cup of green coriander seeds in a blender.
              2.  Close the blender and run it till it becomes a powder.
              3.  Remove the lid of the jar and allow the contents to cool.
              4.  Store the powder in an air-tight container and use it whenever needed.

The coriander powder prepared in this method can be stored and used for many days since it is powdered raw.

             Method 2:

              Ingredients:

             1. Green Coriander Seeds      -  1 cup

              Procedure:

             1. Place a kadai on a stove.
             2. Switch on the stove and allow the kadai to heat for 2 minutes.
             3. Add the cup of coriander seeds and fry till nice aroma evolves.
             4. Remove the contents from heat and allow it to cool.
             5. Take the contents in a jar and blended it as a powder.
             6. Remove the lid of the jar and allow the contents to cool.
             7. Store the powder in an air-tight container and use it whenever needed.

The coriander powder prepared in this method can be stored and used for a week or two only. So, use it generously and finish it off fast.

Note:   The coriander powder prepared by the above methods is more reliable than the ones we purchase in stores and it also doesn't take that much of time.
