Cumin powder

                                                How to make cumin powder?

Hi friends!!!!
                    Next I am going to teach you how to prepare to cumin powder which can be used for all types of  recipes and it also helps in digestion.

        
             Ingredients:
                 1. Cumin Seeds  - 1 cup

             
             Procedure:
                 1. Take a kadai and place it on the stove.
                 2. Switch on the stove and allow it to heat for 2 minutes.
                 3. Add the cumin seeds and dry fry for 2 to 3 minutes.
                 4. Switch off the stove and keep the contents to cool.
                 5. In a mixie jar add the contents and switch it on.
                 6. The mixture should be powdered.
                 7. Store it in an air-tight container and use it for cooking.

Turmeric Powder

                                              How to make turmeric powder?

 Hi friends!!!!

                    My next post is about preparing good turmeric powder at home for cooking purposes. Ok!!! let's move on to the procedure.

                    Ingredients:

                      1.  Turmeric roots      - 1 cup

                    Procedure:
                      
                      1.  Take the turmeric roots in a hand mortar.
                      2.  Make it into small pieces.
                      3.  Take it in a blender/mixie and powder the contents.
                      4.  Sieve the powder and store it in air-tight containers.

                          Hygenic turmeric powder is ready for daily cooking.

Red Chilly Powder

                                     How to make a red chilly powder?

Hi friends!!!!
     
                    Now I am going to give you the simple procedure to prepare a red chilly powder. This will encourage to prepare at home hygienic than buying adulterated red chilly powder.

                 Ingredients:

                      1. Red chillies (Round/long)     -    1 cup

                 Procedure:
            
                      1. Set up the blender/mixie.
                      2. In the jar, add the red chillies.
                      3. Run the mixie/blender till the contents become a powder.
                      4. Remove the lid and allow it to cool.
                      5. Store it in an air-tight container and use it whenever needed.

Coriander Powder

                                               How to make Coriander powder?

Hi friends!!!!
                    It's long time since I had published a post. Quite busy with other things like rains, festivals and last but not the least household maintenance. So, to compensate i am going to write as many posts as i can from today. Ok!!! let's start with the recipe for a simple coriander powder which is an important spice powder in various coutries cooking including India.
                 
              Method 1:

               Ingredients:

              1.  Green Coriander seeds    -  1 cup

                Procedure:
             
              1.  Place the cup of green coriander seeds in a blender.
              2.  Close the blender and run it till it becomes a powder.
              3.  Remove the lid of the jar and allow the contents to cool.
              4.  Store the powder in an air-tight container and use it whenever needed.

             The coriander powder prepared in this method can be stored and used for many days since it is powdered raw.


             Method 2:
         
              Ingredients:
     
             1. Green Coriander Seeds      -  1 cup

              Procedure:

             1. Place a kadai on a stove.
             2. Switch on the stove and allow the kadai to heat for 2 minutes.
             3. Add the cup of coriander seeds and fry till nice aroma evolves.
             4. Remove the contents from heat and allow it to cool.
             5. Take the contents in a jar and blended it as a powder.
             6. Remove the lid of the jar and allow the contents to cool.
             7. Store the powder in an air-tight container and use it whenever needed.
       
             The coriander powder prepared in this method can be stored and used for a week or two only. So, use it generously and finish it off fast.

        Note:   The coriander powder prepared by the above methods is more reliable than the ones we purchase in stores and it also doesn't take that much of time.
